Energy and climate change

Climate change is caused by increasing emission of CO2 and other greenhouse gasses (GHG). Major efforts are required to reduce and mitigate these emissions for the sake of our living environment. This requires development and implementation of adequate strategies and GHG friendly technologies, for instance for building purposes, infrastructure development and spatial planning. DHV has extensive experience with the development of climate change policies and technologies. We know how to manage complex climate change processes and how to translate ambitions into reality.

A futuristic view on sustainable energy supply for the province of Zuid-Holland, The Netherlands

The province of Zuid-Holland commissioned DHV to write a “position paper”which outlines our vision on how the future of sustainable energy supply will develop.  With the aid of this analysis the Province of Zuid Holland formed a substantive vision of the future direction of existing and new policies.Read more

Wind farm Koegorspolder, The Netherlands

Evelop and Winwind (both taken over by Eneco in 2009) have developed a wind farm in the Koegorspolder in the province of Zeeland. The wind farm consists of 22 wind turbines of each 2 MW. The turbines are built by Vestas (Model V80). The total energy capacity of the wind park is 44 MW. For Vestas, DHV has designed and enigineered the foundations for 21 windturbines. Read more

CO2-scan province of South-Holland, The Netherlands

DHV supported the Rijnmond Environmental Services (DCMR) and the Province of South-Holland with the determination of the CO2 footprint for all municipalities in the province. Read more
