For the transformation of the Binckhorst-area in the municipality of The Hague, DHV carried out an environmental appraisal which included a strategic environmental assessment and studies concerning the environmental influence of commercial operations in the area. Renovation and new construction for Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The main building housing the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam that was designed by architect A.W. Weissman in 1895 and is now listed on the national monuments and historic buildings register but no longer meets today’s requirements. Due to a chronic lack of space that arose during proceeding decades, mezzanines were introduced and rooms were added to the main building in the 1950s and 60s. Read more
